Brenda Kay Davidson, age 69, Coatesville (Heritage Lake), passed away peacefully Sunday morning at her home. She was born in Shoals, Indiana on November 4, 1953, the daughter of Kenneth Oscar and Eva Mae Riggle Probasco. She retired from North Putnam High School and was a long-standing member of Canaan Community Church.
Brenda was what some considered a master seamstress, Pepsi’s unofficial spokesperson, a travel enthusiast, and a shopaholic. She prided herself on the deep, well-established relationships she formed, often being the glue for family and friend groups. Affectionately called Mamaw by her granddaughter, she loved getting sucked into TV shows, enchiladas (hold the guac), and accessorizing her outfits. She will be remembered for her kindness, being opinionated, and tackling almost any craft with ease.
Brenda had strong beliefs in which she never wavered. She believed in God’s eternal love, that our Grandparents were always watching over us, and that we’d all meet again one day. Towards the end of life here on Earth, Brenda had a peace that surpasses all understanding about what was to come.
She is survived by her husband - Jim Davidson; son - Jordan (Kayla) Davidson, St. Croix, Indiana; daughter - Jaclyn (David) Allie, Avon, Indiana; granddaughter - Ariana Davidson, St. Croix, Indiana; siblings - Linda (Gene) Medaris, Ronnie Probasco, and Kenny Probasco, all of Bedford, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. There will be a celebration of life at Canaan Community Church on May 13th from 11-2.
