Charles F. Zimmerman, age 83, of Coatesville, passed away Tuesday night in Indianapolis. Born September 21, 1930 in St. Joseph, MO, he was the son of Clarence Zimmerman and Lavita ( ) Zimmerman. He married Marilyn Ann Kersey and she prececed him on December 5, 2011. Charles worked for 34 years for Allison Transmission in Sales and Service. He was an avid gardener and tinkerer. He also loved stamp collecting. Survivors includes 3 sons, Greg Zimmerman and wife Sharon, CA, Brent Zimmerman and wife Renata, Pittsboro, and David Zimmerman and wife Donna, Evansville; a daughter Mindy Pieper and husband Allen, Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren, Preston Zimmerman, CA, Logan Zimmerman, CA, Nicole Zimmerman, Pittsboro, Ronnie Watson, Indianapolis, Christian Zimmerman, Evansville, and Tyler Zimmerman, Evansville; a sister Carol Patterson and husband Pat, Hartwell, GA; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and wife preceded him.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 1:00 PM in the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Stilesville cemetery. www.bousleyhaysfuneralhome.com
