Donald E. Lowe, age 74, of Coatesville, passed away Monday morning in the IU West Hospital. Born October 11, 1944 in South Bend, IN, he was the son of Ogle E. Lowe and Leona Schwable Lowe. He married Odetta L. “Dee” Snyder on September 20, 1969. Dee preceded him on August 15, 2019. Don served in the Army Infantry for 2 tours in Vietnam. He worked for G.C. Murphy while attending Ivy Tech College. From there, Don worked for Yellow Trucking Co. He then became a Correctional Officer in the Plainfield Indiana Youth Center from which he was retired. Don loved woodworking, singing Johnny Cash at karaoke, playing acoustical guitar, Miller High Life Beer, and camping at Blackhawk Campground. Don was loved by many. Survivors include his children, Don Lowe II (Lisa), Brazil, Crissy King (AJ), Greenwood, and Kara Wolff (Kenneth), Camby; 8 grandchildren, Cody, Brooklyn, Jon, Don III, Carissa, Steven, Jaimaleih, Kayleigh; 8 great grandchildren, siblings, Jerry Lowe (Marshia), Putnamville, Wendell Lowe, Pensecola, FL, Marsh Langley, Walnut, CA, and Larry Lowe, CA; several nieces and nephews, and his loving dog Jack. His parents, wife, son Jason Lowe, and siblings, Bill Lowe, Dan Lowe, Art Lowe, and William E. Lowe preceded him. Visitation will be held on Friday October 11th from 4 to 8 pm in the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville. Funeral services will be Saturday October 12th at 1 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Bert Bunner officiating. Burial will follow in the Coatesville Cemetery.
