Elmina Phillips, age 95, Coatesville, passed away Tuesday evening at her home. She was born in Hadley, IN on March 4, 1921 the daughter of Fred and Maude Soots Kersey. She was a 1939 graduate of Amo High School. She was a homemaker, farm wife, and dedicated mother and grandmother. Elmina was a birthright Quaker and had attended the Coatesville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters: Darlene (Dave) Miller, Coatesville, Linda West, Coatesville, Ronda (Tom) Heckel, Fillmore, Kathy (Terry) Kunkel, Coatesville, and Teri Gutherie, Coatesville; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a sister – Naoma Fleetwood, KY. She was preceded by her Parents, Husband – Frank Phillips, a grandson – Kevin Phillips; and 1 sister and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville with Pastor Danny Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Coatesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service. The family has requested that in honor of Elmina that everyone wears red which was her favorite color.
