Frank W. O’Hair, 86, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully at Asbury Towers on December 22, 2022.
Frank was born in Fillmore, Indiana on November 7, 1936, the son of Gilbert and Mildred O’Hair. He took great pride is saying he was the favorite child as he was born on his mother’s birthday.
Frank was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1956. He was proud to be a Bainbridge Alumni and enjoyed attending the yearly Alumni Banquet. He worked at IBM from April of 1956 to March of 1987 as a press operator. He also worked for a number of years at the Walmart Distribution Center in Greencastle and the Walmart Supercenter in Sebring, Florida.
He was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church. He was also a member of the Eagles, Moose and American Legion. He loved all things sports, especially the NBA, St. Louis Cardinals and Purdue Teams. He loved watching old westerns, mushrooming hunting, playing poker, and spoiling the many dogs and cats he had throughout his life. In later years he loved taking drives through the country, ending up at his daughter’s home in Clinton Falls where he would sit on the porch and watch the hummingbirds buzz around and the kitties play in the yard.
Frank is survived by daughters Monta Gazvoda (Albert) of Clinton Falls, Stacy O’Hair (Judy Porte) of Milford, Michigan, Janet Baker of Brazil, Toni Chadd of Greencastle, Anita Schmitz (Mark Collins) of Greencastle, son Tom Chadd (Tammy) of Indianapolis, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, various nieces and nephews and Brother Mike O’Hair of Russellville who is graciously taking care of Frank’s beloved dog Cooper.
Frank was preceded by his grandparents and parents, wife Angie O’Hair, great-grandson Carter James Evens, brothers Gerald O’Hair and Lloyd O’Hair and sister Marilyn McManama.

Plans for memorial service have yet to be made. Memorials can be made to the Putnam County Humane Society.
