Iris Geraldine York Smiley, age 95, of Greencastle, passed away August 16, 2018 in the Hickory Creek at Sunset Nursing Facility. Born January 8, 1923 in Rockville, she was the daughter of Aaron S. York and Laura M. (McDonald) York. She married Charles Smiley and he passed in 1984. Survivors includes 3 daughters, Shirley and Clifford King, Greencastle, Brenda and Lonnie Keeney, Greencastle, and Darlene  Bell, Greencastle; 2 sons Richard and Sandy Smiley, Greencastle, and Harold Smiley, Greencastle; several grandchildren, great and Great-great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, and 2 sons, Keith and Clifford, and a son-in-law, Robert Bell.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 20, at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle with Pastor Steve Blades officiating.  There will be no public viewing.
