Kathryn L. Caldwell of Coatesville passed away at home December 31st, 2023. She was born in the village of Sheridan Michigan on March 22nd, 1945 to Harold and Alta Ada (Strong) Wilkinson. Kathryn was never good at sitting still. She had to be up doing something and staying involved with her community and friends. A lifelong Methodist, she found a home church in Amo Methodist Church. She and Ken still met with the congregation at the community building even after the church closed. Kathryn was a dedicated friend who had a knack for keeping up with people. If she was passing through town, she was likely to drop in to visit with you. Even when the map wasn’t upside down, traveling with Kathryn was a tour to check in on everyone. A five hour trip might take ten because she would visit anyone she knew along the way. If you traveled with her in Michigan, you were likely to learn a story about every house and road you passed. Kathryn made many of her friends while working at the VA for more than 34 years as a dental assistant at the VA and assisted in training many of their residents. It was there, she met Ken and they were married in 1991. They moved out to Heritage Lake in the hopes the kids would have fun on the water. She joined the committee to help organize the Easter egg hunt, sell food at events, and the boat parade. She always kept on the go, involved, and kept in touch.
She is survived by her Husband - Ken Caldwell; Daughters - Danielle and Tawnya; Grandchildren - Sam and Zoe; and Brother - Tom Wilkinson. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Wilkinson.
Funeral service will be at Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville on Thursday, January 4th at 6:00PM. Visitation will be from 4:00PM that same day until the time of service. Burial and graveside will take place at Decker Cemetery in Millbrook, Michigan on January 10th at 1:00PM.
