Leona A. Winkel, age 87, of Coatesville, passed away March 14, 2014 in the Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville. Born October 16, 1926 in Shoals, IN, she was the daughter to Oren Wagoner and Callis (Collins) Wagoner. She married Glenn Everett Winkel and he preceded her in death. Leona is survived by her children, Jerry Dale Winkel, Indianapolis, Vicky Nelson and husband Dan, Indianapolis, Toby Eugene Winkel, Indianapolis, Richard Dean Winkel, Speedway, and Mike Everett Winkell II and wife Buffy, Coatesville; 23 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, brothers Randall Wagoner, Plainfield and Dean Wagoner and wife Brenda, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, son Roger Winkel, daughter Jocelyn Cobb, son Michael Winkel, and siblings Raymond, Laurel, Betty and Sheila preceded her. Leona had worked as a Nursing Supervisor and a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Her hobbies included watching sports, in particular the Colts, Pacers, and reading the bible. Visitation will be Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 Bousley-Hays Funeral Home. Services are at 2:30 with Dr. Jerry Hillenburg officiating.
