Lois Maxine Salsman, age 92, Amo/Plainfield, passed away Dec. 6, 2012. She was born on Sept. 28, 1920 the daughter of Leland and Fern Hazel Gray West. She was married to Woodrow W. Salsman and he preceded her. She was a lifetime member of the Amo United Methodist Church and played the organ/piano from age 17 to 80. She was church treasurer for 50 years. She worked as head cook at Cascade High School for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Delta Sigma Kappa, Eastern Star, and Coterie Club. She is survived by her sister, Joanne Alexander; Son – Larry (Ginny) Salsman; Daughter – Lou Anne (Bill) Martin; four grandchildren – Stacy (Max) Pavlovsky, Heather (Mark) Meliski, Chad (Beth) Salsman, and Michelle (Justin) Jezierski; six grandchildren –Tori, Joshua, Ava, Jackson, Cooper, and C.J.. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 3:00 PM at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with calling from 12:00 pm until time of service. Burial will follow in Stilesville Cemetery.
