Melvin Ray Talley, age 77, Greencastle, passed away Wednesday evening at Asbury Towers. He was born in Greencastle on July 1, 1941 the son of Raymond Junior and Minnie Catherine Cook Talley. He had worked as a supervisor at Bridgeport Brass for 28 years. He was a member of the Coatesville United Church. He was commander of the American Legion in Greencastle and Frostproof, FL and a member of the Color Guard in Greencastle. He enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the IWCS club. He is survived by his wife – Joan Daniel Talley; Son – Michael (Dorothy) Talley, Indianapolis and Daughter – Lori Morgan, Indianapolis; Step-daughter – Bonnie (Keith) Hanlon, Port Charlotte, FL; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; Brother – Earl Wayne(Pat) Talley, Ocala, FL.; several nieces and nephews; and a Cousin – Madonna (Steven) Stephens, New Whiteland, IN. He was preceded by his Parents, Son – Kenny Ray Talley, and a Brother – Richard Talley. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville with Pastor Danny Sanders officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 10:30 AM until time of service. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
