Richard Dean Kington, 83, of Coatesville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Richard was born in Lewistown, Illinois to Dean and Fern Kington in July of 1943. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He loved fishing and could often be found fiddling in the garage with his fishing pole and was famous for his fish fry's. He was a long-time resident of Heritage Lake who loved to play chess and smoke cigars. He retired from International Harvester/Navistar after 42 years of service.

Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years Helen (Putman) Kington; children Dianne Jones (fiancé Doug), Richard Kington Jr., and Stephanie Barker; grandchildren Brandy Moore, Rachel Bryan, Hannah Sneary, Drayton Barker, and Carson Barker; and great-grandchildren Brylea Moore, Braydon Moore, Brea Moore, and Danny Sneary; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dean Kington and Fern (Brown) Kington. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 4pm – 6pm, with funeral service at Bousley Funeral Home, located at 4980 Milton St, Coatesville, IN 461216.
