Rita Faye Highsmith passed away on May 8, 2025. She was born on July 7, 1944 to Helen (Hahn) and Dale Sargeant in Linton, Indiana. Rita loved to sing and to garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Helen Sargeant; husband David Ruble (1992); husband Charlie Highsmith (2019); sister Karen Lang; and stepsons Gerry and Doug Ruble. Survivors include son Tim (Annber) Ruble; stepchildren Terry Ruble, John Ruble, and Rick Ruble; grandchildren Bowen, Daisia, Annabelle, Savana, and Esta.
Rita's family has chosen cremation. Bousley Funeral Home was entrusted with her care.
