Robert Horton Stanley died on Friday. He was 81. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 62 years, Janice (Rose) Stanley.

Born May 1, 1935 in Plainfield, he was the son of the late Harold Horton and Iva (Daily) Stanley.

Mr. Stanley was a carpenter by trade and involved in sprint car racing for many years.

He was preceded in death by a brother Don Stanley and sisters Betty Johnson, Anna Turner and Edith Swinney.

Survivors include children Micki (Lindy) Berlin, Terri (Dan) Hays and Rusty (Lisa) Stanley; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and siblings Alice Earles, Harold Wayne Stanley and Martha Kellems.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville.
