Steve passed away rather unexpectedly at his home in Coatesville on January 4, 2023. He was 84. Steve was born in Coatesville to John M. Casady and Leo LaRena Casady (Downey) and is part of a long line of Casadys from that area. He served in the United States Marine Corp as a young man and lived in California for many years. During his time in California, Steve was a carpenter and built beautiful homes in and around the Malibu area finally returning to Coatesville in 1983. Steve has been a long time active member of Coatesville and the surrounding area building and making repairs for many residents. Steve is survived by two children from his first marriage: John Casady (Kathy) of Coatesville and Stephanie Casady of Sutherlin, OR as well as two step-children: Michael Withee (Anna) of Lynnwood, WA and La Ree Martinez (Emilio) of Bonita Springs, FL and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents, John and Lea, two brothers John and Michael, and his wife and love of his life Deana Kay who passed away in 2015. A memorial service will be held January 20 from 4 to 6 PM with service at 6 PM at the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville, IN.
