Wanda L. Chandler, age 83, Fillmore, passed away Monday, October 28th, 2024 at the Putnam County Hospital. She was born in Coatesville, Indiana on December 11th, 1940, daughter of Emmett Frank and Margret Blue Buis.

Wanda is survived by her children Norman Shafer, Fillmore, Malinda (Roy) York, Greencastle, Debbie (Ward) Thompson , Brownsburg, Tammy (Mike) Daniel, Reelsville; grandchildren Dustin, Bailey, Hannah, Marissa, Frankie, Michael, Steven, Heather, Ashley, Kayden, Jayden, Sebastian, Shawn, Michael, Cody, and Elaina; several great grandchildren; sisters Carolyn (Steve) Curtis, Indianapolis, and Janet (Larry) Stroud, Stilesville.

She was preceded by her parents Emmett and Margret Buis; husband Larry Darby; sons Kelly and Frankie Schafer; grandson Shawn Daniel; brothers Norman, Gerald (Sandy), and Clyde Buis; and sister Barbra (Richard) Rietzel.

Wanda enjoyed reading, doing word searches, canning and her many fur babies. She loved to spend quality time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Bousley Funeral Home on Friday, November 1st 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, November 2nd at 11 AM. Pastor Jason Holt will officiate. Burial will follow in Stilesville Cemetery.
