William R. Wicklund, age 78, of Cloverdale, passed away Wednesday morning in the Putnam County Hospital. Born November 9, 1935 in Elgin, IL, he was the son of Eldin Wicklund and Louise Wicklund. He married Linda Lou Robbins and she survives. Other survivors include 3 girls, Patty, Susie and Annie; two sons, Mark and Billy; a brother Phillip Wickland; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His parents and brothers Vern and David Wicklund preceded him. William worked as a Truck mechanic for Thermoking Trucking and Rollins Trucking. He was an avid volunteer for RSVP. He was a good husband and provider. Direct cremation is scheduled and no services at this time.
