Willie E. Cook, age 92, of Amo, joined his wife Ann on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in his residence. Born October 8, 1925 in Trammel, KY, he was the son of James W. Cook and Bessie (Quarles) Cook. He married Willie Ann Pedigo and she preceded him. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII where he took part in the Battle of the Bulge. Willie had worked as a machinist for GM. He was a member of the UAW and Masons. Survivors includes a son Monty Cook and wife Terri, Plainfield; a daughter Carol Dobbs and husband Butch, Albany, IN; Grandchildren – Bridget (Steve) Weaver-Schindler, Chris (Alison) Dobbs, Jason (Ginger) Cook, Sunny (Holly) Klusmeier, Jeffery, Eric, Matthew Smith; Great-grandchildren – Mykala ( Jon) Gahimer, Mandi Amos, Brandon Litchford, Jacob Weaver, Janea Love, Lili Dobbs, Grant Dobbs, Owen Smith, Grant Smith, Brooklyn Adams, Hunter Adams, Chloe Hanson, Eli Hanson; and many nieces and nephews. His parents, wife, a grandson Brian Litchford, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday in the funeral home with services at 7 PM. Pastor Luke Jackson will be officiating. Additional visitation will be Monday from 11 to 1 PM in the Gilbert Funeral Home in Franklin, KY. Services are at 1 pm and burial with military honors will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Contributions may be made to the Greenlawn Cemetery or charity of choice.
