Chandler M. Nelson, age 20, Hazelwood, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Riley Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 9, 2002 the son of Clinton and Amber Cox Nelson. He was a 2020 graduate of Cascade High School and had attended Area 31 where he was studying culinary services with hopes to be a chef. Chandler was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church and possessed a deep faith in God. He wore the “Armor of God” all through his illness. He is survived by his parents – Clint and Amber Nelson; twin-brother – Tyler Nelson; grandfather – Edward Nelson; grandmother – Janet Davis; aunts – Angie (Robert) Wood and Hailee Sampson; uncle – Joseph (Meagan) Davis; cousins – Robert Wood, Thomas Wood, Hunter Wood, Amelia Davis, and Bryan Sampson. He was preceded by his grandmother – Sandra Nelson. Funeral services will be held on Monday at the Hazelwood Christian Church, 9947 S County Rd 0, Clayton, In 46118 at 11:00 AM with Pastors Steve Ranson and Tim Gepphart officiating. Burial will follow in Center Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2 until 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CC-TDI.
