Claude R. Lister, 83, New Winchester, died at his home on October 14, 2014.

Born January 8, 1931, he was the son of William E. and Nora (Farley) Lister.

He married Marguerite (Page) Lister on April 30, 1950. She died on July 20, 2009.

He is survived by his sister, Mary E. Kolaiser; his sons, David, Larry (Cathy), Darrell (Karen) Lister and daughter, Tricia Lister (husband Don Wells).

He was preceded in death by brothers, William A., George E., Norman E., and Earl Lister and sisters, Hazel I. Tibbett and Vesta E. Myers.

He was a member of the Danville Calvary Church of the Nazarene and taught Sunday School for 50 years.

He liked watching Cincinnati Reds baseball and one of the hobbies he loved was, Amateur Radio, he operated under the call sign, K9ICK.

Visitation will be at the Danville Calvary Church of the Nazarene on October 18 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The service will follow immediately with Pastor David W. Stewart officiating.

Burial will be at the New Winchester Cemetery.
