Doris L. Hedrick of Danville passed away in her home surrounded by family on November 9, 2022. She was the daughter of Vernon Odell and Eunice Cordell (Kendall) Rippy and was born July 8, 1936 in Allen County, Kentucky. Doris married Jack W. Hedrick on April 26, 1958 and the two were together until his death in 2000.

She is survived by her three daughters Laura Poole (Rodney), Gwyn Aras (Stephen) and Sarah Hazel (Greg); grandchildren Jamie Mason, Lacey Watson, Michael Aras, Leland Aras, Daniel LaCour, and Emily Weaver; great grandchildren Cayden Watson and Brookly Watson; sisters Phyllis Huntsman and Brenda Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

In the 1950s and 1960s Doris worked at RCA. Afterwards she was a full-time homemaker and hobby farmer alongside Jack.

Doris will be laid to rest in the New Winchester Cemetery. Services are private and have been entrusted to the Bousley Funeral Home.
