Douglas Jon Lukenbill, 70, of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away on January 2, 2025. Douglas, lovingly known as Doug, was born on December 24, 1954, to William and Patricia Lukenbill and grew up in Brownsburg with his brothers Mark, Kirk, and Ryan. Doug proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1991, dedicating nearly two decades to honorable service. Following his military service, he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. Doug was also a proud mason of Larrabee Lodge #131 in Stilesville, IN.

Doug is survived by his wife, Cyndie; stepdaughter, Morgan; “son at heart,” Cody; three grandchildren, Dakota, Delilah, and Aurora; his brother, Kirk and his wife Sheila; and his brother Ryan and his wife Lanesse. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Patricia, and his brother, Mark.

A man of simple joys, Doug found peace and happiness in working outdoors, planting trees, and nurturing flowers. Though he is gone, his legacy will continue to grow as deeply as the roots he planted. He will be remembered always.

Doug's family has chosen cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
