Edward Allen Gibson, 72, of Greencastle, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Edward was born to Rachel and Edward Gibson Jr. on May 8, 1953 in Greencastle. He graduated from Greencastle High School in 1971. He worked as a mechanic and retired from Teamsters Local 135. He loved to golf, was always hopeful, and was always willing to help.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Gibson; son Zach Gibson (Cassandra); daughter Bradi McLaughlin (Mac); grandchildren Ben, Eli, and Alessa; sisters Alice and Elaine; brother-in-law Jim (Margo); and mother-in-law Barb Black.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and golfing buddy Ray Black.

Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family has chosen cremation; there will be no services at this time.
