Jesus welcomed Harold Lisby into the gate of Heavin on November 1, 2012. Harold honored God throughout his life through his hard work, obedience and the and the abundant love he had for his family and friends. In return God blessed Harold with 100 years of a blessed and fruitful life. One of his greatest blessings was marrying Thelma Woods on October 13, 1934 and spending the next 78 years by her side. Harold was a lifelong farmer and a 1930 graduate of Fillmore High School. He was a 89 year member of Canaan Community Church. In addition to his wife, Thelma, he leaves behind 2 daughters: Doris (Wendell) Ratcliff, Fillmore, and Kitze (George) Pallas, Branford, CT; grandchildren – Derek (fiance’ – Amy) Ratcliff, Terre Haute, Garret (Gina) Ratcliff, Brazil, Nicki (Tim) Weaver, Brownsburg, Wendy (Chris) Danner, Fillmore, Aaron (Cherida) Pallas, Indianapolis, Doug (Michele) Pallas, Wallingford, CT; and 10 great-grandchildren. Although Harold had many experiences and accomplishments in his long life he wanted to be remembered by how he lived his life. He leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to his family and all those who were fortunate to know him. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville. Burial – Fillmore Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 until 6 PM. The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Fillmore Alumni Association c/o Putnam County Foundation or the Canaan Community Church.
