Jane Carol (Johnston) Hostetler passed away peacefully on April 14th 2025 in Greencastle, IN. Jane was born on July 25th, 1937 to Evelyn & Ralph Johnston in Elyria, OH.

She attended Ohio State University where she studied accounting. It was during college that she met her first husband Laurel Edgar Glasgo. During their 10 year marriage they welcomed two wonderful boys Dennis and Tim. With Laurel she found her love for animals by working in the Mooresville Veterinary Clinic. Later in life, she met her late husband Meredith Wade Hostetler. She gained three stepchildren, Brian, Laurel, and Eric. Together they played in a string band and made wonderful wooden animals that she would paint. Jane liked to stay busy, she enjoyed crafting, gardening, painting, caning chairs, singing, and caring for LOTS of cats. Jane was a member of Coatesville United Methodist Church. She also had a restaurant right in the heart of Coatesville, “Home Away”. Here she fed all of her favorite locals. Jane will be greatly missed and always loved.

Jane is survived by, Brother - Jack Johnston Children - Dennis (Patricia) Glasgo, Timothy Glasgo, Laurel Schultz, Eric (Maretta) Hostetler Grandchildren - Ivan Glasgo, Victor Glasgo, Elizabeth Glasgo, Eric (Amber) Cottey, Thomas (Abby) Hostetler, Tyler Hostetler, Keean Hostetler, Paige Schultz, Cierra Gilmour, Kayla Gilmour & Haley Gilmour Great Grandchildren - Octavia, Phoenix, Winnie, Taylor, Jordan, Aaryiannah & Ayaan

Jane asked not to have a viewing or service. There will be a memorial on May 3rd at 1pm at the Coatesville United Methodist Church in remembrance of Jane Carol Hostetler.
