Jerry Lee Nichols, age 82, Coatesville, passed away early Wednesday morning in the Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 15, 1931 the son of Robert and Lucille N. Gilley Nichols. He married Martha Church and she survives.

Jerry had worked for the Indianapolis Fire Department. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, former member of the Masons, and enjoyed woodworking. He was a US Air Force veteran.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Mark Lee Nichols and wife, Patty, Sheridan, IN; daughter, Kay Whitaker and husband, Scott, Indianapolis; grandchildren – Douglas Lee Nichols and wife, Mandy, Danville, Matthew Crail, Sheridan, IN, Lacey Haseley and husband, Mike, Sheridan, IN, and Vanessa Hamblin and husband, Daniel, Lebanon; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ellen Moore, FL. He was preceded by his Parents and a brother, Bill Nichols.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville with Pastor John McKay officiating. Burial will follow in Coatesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service. www.bousleyhaysfuneralhome.com
