Jo Cordray, age 79, Greencastle, passed away Monday afternoon at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida on October 19, 1943 the daughter of Clifford G. and Eva Icel Pounds Bryant. She was a member of the Amo Baptist Church. Jo was an excellent seamstress and made multiple items including square dancing dresses and quilts. She was a volunteer EMT for the Mill Creek Fire Departments, and she and her husband ran Cordray U-pick strawberries.
She is survived by her husband – Carl “Gene” Cordray; daughter – Robin McEnulty, Greencastle; son – Kevin Cordray and wife, Shelli, Kansas; grandchildren – Sarah Burdine and husband Tim, Kelli Tipton and husband Will, and Chelcie Cordray, and Kylie Cordray; great-grandchildren – Dean, Dalton, Derek, and Carlee, Burdine, Connor Tipton, and Liam Cordray; brother – Larry Bryant and wife, Jean; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents.
Visitation will be held at Bousley Funeral Home on Friday, August 18 from 4 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jamie Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
