Kenneth C. Rhea, age 91, Amo, passed away March 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Stilesville, IN on February 23, 1923 the son of Howard and Roxie Warmoth Rhea. He was a 1941 graduate of Amo High School and a WW II veteran of the Army. He worked as a salesman for Van Camp/True Value and then was a bus driver for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 20 years. He was a member of the Mason’s, the Scottish Rite, and the Shriners. He was a former member of the Amo Town Board and the Amo/Coatesville Sewer Board and had been Clay Township Trustee. He had been a member of the Sheriff’s Merit Board and was the co-chair of the Amo Centineal. He had driven a bus for the Shriners Burn Hospital. He was a very active member of the Amo Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon and Treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Inez Shaw Rhea; Daughters – Rebecca Rhea, Amo, Linda Sears, Terre Haute, and Donna (Mark) Deal, AZ; 3 grandsons; 7 great-grandchildren; Brother – Leroy Eugene Rhea, Muncie; Sisters – Christine Wise, Danville, Alberta Miles, OH, and Carol Trump. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother – Bob Rhea, and Sister – Betty Arnold. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Amo Baptist Church with Pastors Shelly Zook and Wally Jeffs officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Stilesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2 until 6 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville.
