Larry Eugene Nesbitt passed away on June 14, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 23, 1948 to Phyllis M. (Ottinger) and Earl Nesbitt Jr in Lebanon, Indiana. He smiled a lot, was very happy and never met a stranger. Larry was an avid fisherman. He was also an accomplished photographer who loved to take pictures of lighthouses and covered bridges. Larry graduated from Sheridan High School in 1966. During school he worked delivering groceries for the local IGA. He served his country for 2 years in the Army at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. Larry worked for a few years at Biddles Screw Products and 35 years at PSI/CENERGY/DUKE ENERGY. He was married to his beloved wife Ann for 58 years. Larry was a member and trustee of the Canaan Church. He was also a member of the American Legion. His family said he must have been related to the Energizer Bunny, because he never stopped. He was a go-getter.
Survivors include his wife Ann (Massingill) Nesbitt; son Mike Nesbitt; daughter-in-law Kim Nesbitt; granddaughters Heather and Brittany Nesbitt; great grandchildren Corbin, Brylin, and Oakley Nesbitt; sister Debbie (Jeff) Merriman; brother Rex (Jeana Pearson) Nesbitt; and nieces Amber and Whitney Merriman.
Visitation will be held at Canaan Church, Thursday, June 19, 4-6; with funeral at 6PM. Pastor Chris Destremts will officiate. A second visitation will be held Saturday, June 21, 4-7 with military rights at Kercheval Funeral Home in Sheridan, Indiana. Afterwards, Larry will be cremated. Bousley Funeral Hone was entrusted with Larry's care.
