Madge Wheeler Lydick, age 93, Coatesville, passed away November 20, 2020 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born NW of Reno, IN on December 30, 1926 the daughter of Gilbert Wheeler and Jewell Kelly Wheeler Ludlow. She married her high school sweetheart Willard Lydick on November 8, 1947 and he survives. She was a graduate of Amo High School, Central College, Indianapolis University, and DePauw University. She retired in 1988 as a school teacher having taught 20 years in Mill Creek Schools and 2 years at Plainfield Community Schools. She was a lifetime member of Amo United Methodist Church, ADK Teachers Sorority, Indiana Retired Teachers, and had served on the board of directors at Sycamore Rehabilitation Services. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Willard Lydick; daughter – Sharon (Donald Wingler) Anderson; son – Dennis Lydick; grandchildren – Joshua Lydick, Erin (Ryan) Fones, Brian Anderson, and Mandy (Thomas II) Lough ; 7 great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents and a brother – Myron Wheeler. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville, with Bill Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Amo Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on 4 from until 8 PM on Tuesday . Due to the CoVid 19 restrictions masks must be worn at all times.
