Meredith Wade Hostetler, 86, passed away at his home in Coatesville, IN, on September 21, 2022. Meredith was born March 8, 1936, to Amos O. and Thersa Hostetler in Topeka, IN. He graduated from Shipshewana High School in 1954 as the Vice-President of his class.
“Poppy”, as his grandchildren called him, held many different jobs throughout his life. Most notably, he owned a construction company and worked with his wife, Jane, at their restaurant in Coatesville. He was a talented wood carver, showcasing this for years at the Indiana State Fair. He loved to write Hymns and loved his family dearly. Meredith attended the Coatesville United Methodist Church.
Meredith was preceded in death by his parents Amos and Thersa Hostetler; wife, Donna Kornhaus; siblings, Marie, Betty, Dorothy, Maurice, Merrill, Melvin, Mark, and Maufred; son Brian. Survivors include his wife, Jane (Johnston) Hostetler; brother, Mervin (Margaret) Hostetler; children, Eric (Maretta) Hostetler, Laurel Schultz, Dennis Glasgo, and Timothy Glasgo; grandchildren, Eric (Amber) Cottey, Paige Schultz, Thomas (Abby) Hostetler, Tyler Hostetler, Keean Hostetler, Cierra (Gilmour) Romanidi, Kayla Gilmour, Haley Gilmour; great-grandchildren Phoenix, Octavia, Aaryiannah, Ayaan, Jordan, Taylor, and Winnie.
