Nancy Louise Meredith, 57, of Danville, IN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was surrounded by her family when she passed at home.
Nancy was born on October 7, 1966, in Patuxent River, MD to Albert and Judith Mouns, who both survive. Her childhood involved many moves around the country while her father served in the United States Navy. The final move was back to her parents’ home in California, where she was a 1985 graduate of Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, CA. She married Gary D. Meredith on August 10, 1991 in Los Altos, CA; he survives.
Nancy’s pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mom for years until the boys entered elementary school. Nancy was a teacher’s aide in the boys’ classrooms before becoming a “cafeteria lady.” She spent many hours washing dishes and trays, always wearing a smile to help brighten the kids’ day. After years in the cafeteria, she was offered a position as a special needs aide at Cascade Middle School, ultimately finding her passion. The students in her class became “her” kids, as Thomas and JJ were already graduated and out of the house. No conversation could be had with Nancy without a mention of her students.
Nancy is survived by her family and friends, to include: her husband of 32 years, Gary Meredith of Danville, her two sons: Thomas (Sharie) Meredith of Fillmore and Jonathan “JJ” (Jacy) Meredith of Coatesville, her parents, Albert and Judith Mouns of Cupertino, CA, her brother, Frank (Diane) Mouns of Plano, TX, her grandchildren: Grant, Ellison, Max, and Aubrey Meredith, her bonus son, Ryan Reach of Roachdale, many nieces and nephews, and her ten “crazy cousins.”
Nancy was preceded in death by her grandparents, an aunt, an uncle, and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, Coatesville, IN on Friday, February 16, 2024, where she was a long-time member. Visitation will be held from 9:30am-1:00pm, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Amo Cemetery. Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville, IN, has been entrusted with Nancy’s care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Seedline International, Shepherd’s Bethel, and Cascade Middle School Special Needs Program.

Nancy’s faith was a huge part of her life, and she wanted these truths to be shared:
God closed the Lion’s mouth for Daniel.
He parted the Red Sea for Moses. He gave Sarah a baby. He raised Lazarus from the dead.
Nothing you’ll face today is out of His control… Trust God.
A doctor can save your life. A lawyer can defend your life. A soldier can give you a peaceful life. But only God can give you an everlasting life.
