Norma F. (Surber) Strange, age 91, Greencastle, passed away Wednesday evening, November 7. She was born on August 25, 1921 in Alburneta, Iowa the daughter of Charles E. and Nina Irene Bindhammer Surber. She was a local beautician and a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a active member of the Amo United Methodist Church, Amo United Methodist Women, and Women of the Moose. She loved playing cards of any kind, especially Euchre and was a creative artist and seamstress. She is survived by her children: Candy I. (Doug) Wilson, Greencastle, Fredrick Donald II (Neva) Strange, Cloverdale, and J.C. (Rhonda) Strange, Greencastle; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; Sister – Diane Webster, Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bonnie Johnson, Indianapolis, and Zora Belle Mitchell, Cloverdale. She was preceded by her Parents, Husband – Fredrick, Brother – Kenneth Surber, and Sisters – Betty Jean Wood, Beryl Kendall, Blanche Johnston, and Bonnie Mandrell. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 6:00 PM at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville with calling from 2 PM until time of service. There will be a gathering at Candy’s house at 94 Autumn Glen Dr, Greencastle, following the service.
