Ola Lovica "Cissie" Phipps - Carrington of Greencastle passed away Monday after a year and a half battle with cancer. She was born October 30, 1954, daughter of Everett and Ola Mae "Glenn" Phipps. She graduated from Van Buren High School (1973), and worked at Clay County Hospital for a period of time.

She is preceded in death by brother Everett William "Bill" Phipps, and sister Ethel "Phipps" Fowler.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Norman Carrington, Greencastle, daughters Mandi Carrington (Jeremy Wasnidge), Brazil, and Cassi Carrington (Loren Ross), Greencastle. Grandchildren, Austin (Pooh Bear), Audri (Ladybug), and Addalyn (Sunshine). Brothers, Robert Phipps and wife Jane (Marshall), and Carl Freeman (CA). Sister, Cindy Phipps (Reelsville), and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held Sunday, October 8th at the Harmony Community Center (1:00 - 4:00). Please join the family in remembrance of Ola's (Cissie's) life.
