Paul M. Krebs, 79, passed away early Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his home in San Mateo, CA. He had a recent diagnosis of cancer. Born March 21, 1941, in Plainfield, Indiana, he was the son of the late Cecil L. and Helen (Barlow) Krebs. Paul attended Plainfield High School, participated in football, basketball, and track. He attended Butler University, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He worked for the Allison Transmission, Indianapolis, as a supervisor and retired after 42 years.
He grew up on the family farm and could tell you stories of all the trouble he would get into with friends and family. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting ducks and deer as well as fishing which he was able to do into his later years. He will be remembered for his excellent cooking, especially grilling. He was even growing his own lemons on the patio in CA. He listened to tons of audiobooks and preferred fantasy/sci novels. He fed the birds off of the back porch of wherever he was and would watch them, would also tape them when he could. He remained a dedicated Colts fan and would watch the game if it was playing.
He is survived by his loving partner, Sue (Magee) Oliver; children, Gavin (Victoria) Krebs, Kyle (April) Krebs, Kimberly (Eric) Wise, Kenneth Krebs, and Emily (Jerjes) Hattab; his grandchildren, Brandon Krebs, Kory Krebs, Helen Wise, Samantha Wise, Kolton Wise, Amanda (Brooks) Scott and Stefany Terrell; his great-grandchildren, Madison Grace and Abigail Harper. (John) Walters; and his grandparents, August (Gertrude) Krebs, and Henry (Minnie) Barlow.
