Philip Dean Alkire, age 19, Stilesville and North Salem, passed away May 2, 2016. He was born in Danville, IN on July 18, 1996. He was a 2015 graduate of Cascade High School, involved in Hendricks County Leadership Program, did peer counseling in high school, member of Working Wonders 4H Club, community involvement in Amo Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry and Amo Vacation Bible School Program. Survivors include his parents Robert Alkire (partner Mary Beth Brinegar) of Stilesville and Paula Alkire (partner Dawn Burden) of North Salem, sisters Monica (Seth) Ballinger of Greencastle and Robin (Matt) Phelps of Camby, nephews Tristan & Elijah Ballinger, grandparents Larry & Dwayna Alkire of Clayton, Rowena Puckett of North Salem, great-grandmother Lillian Wills of Danville, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded by great-grandparents Wayne and Friedabelle Wills, Thomas and Catherine Johnson, and Mary Alkire, grandfather Lester Puckett, and great-aunts Roberta Grover and Marlene Bius. Services will be held in Coatesville at the Bousley Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 10 at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 Monday, May 9.
