Ruth O. Butler, age 94, of Plainfield, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Ruth was born in the family's farm house near Coatesville, IN with her twin sister on October 11, 1925. Her proud parents were Charles and Delia (Phillips) Crews.

Ruth was a CNA at Eagle Valley Health Care Center near Clermont, IN where she retired after ten years. There her dedication, patience and caring nature earned her an outstanding service award. Ruth was a long time member of the Church of the Master in Indianapolis. Her hobbies were letter writing, sending greeting cards, working word search puzzles and doing adult coloring books with colored pencils.

Ruth was proceeded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Leroy Brown, plus her final love, Donald Butler. Brothers that proceeded her in death are Carl Crews and Thomas Crews. Surviving her is her remaining brother Paul Crews and sisters Rosemary Irelan (her twin) and Rachel Bettag. Ruth is survived by her children Phyllis Shanklin and son-in-law Ronald (Ron), Carolyn Brown, and Gary Brown. She has three grandchildren, Phyllis' daughter Judith (Judy) Sanqunetti and her husband Eric, plus Carolyn's sons Jeffrey (Jeff) and Jeremy Hodnett. She also has two great-grandsons Corbin and Cole Sanqunetti.

Visitation will be from 11 to 2 on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville, IN. Funeral services follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dave Clayton officiating. Burial services will follow at Coatesville Cemetery.
