Sherman Cordell White, a longtime resident of Heritage Lake, passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1940, in Greencastle, Indiana, to Dorothy Ruby (Shaw) White and Glen Curtis White. Sherman proudly served in the United States Army and later worked as a machine repairman for Ford. After relocating to Heritage Lake, he enjoyed his two favorite hobbies—gardening, particularly growing tomatoes and peppers, and fishing. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Kay (Stone) White, with whom he shared over 43 years of marriage. Together, they raised six children and were blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Sherman’s wishes, his family has chosen cremation. Bousley Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.
