Stephen D. (Steve) Hendricks, age 66, New Winchester, passed away at home on July 8, 2014. He was born on February 22, 1948 in New Castle, IN the son of H. Glen and M. Bernadine Marshall Hendricks. He had worked as a butcher most of his life retiring as a supervisor from Dugdale Meat Co., Indianapolis in 2008. He previously worked at Danville Wholesale Meats, Danville, IN. He loved music, family, and friends, getting together to eat, reminisce, joke, and play game. He loved being outdoors, mowing, gardening, and enjoying the simple things. He especially enjoyed vacationing at Myrtle Beach returning 2 weeks prior with his wife, son, and grandson. He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Billie Boller Hendricks, who he married on July 31, 1965; Son – Timothy “Tim” (Marian McMurtry), Daughter – Tamela “Tammy” (Lawrence “Duke”) Newlin; Grandsons – Timothy “Tim” Hendricks II (Samantha Medjeski), Robert “Bob” Carter, Dakota “Cody” and Kyle Newlin; Greatgrandchildren – William “Will”, Abigail “Abby”, and Hadley Faye; Brothers – Roger (Mary Jo) and Rodney Hendricks; Sisters – Glenna Warren and Lillie (Earl) Chandler; Sisters-in-law – Lorretta Hendricks, Jackie (Luther Murray) Woodrum, Carol (William “Bill”) Boyer; Brothers-in-law – John and Donald “Donny” (Lynn) Boller; Uncle – Ray Boller; Aunts – Evelyn Hendricks and Sue Morrison. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Parents-in-law – William “Bill” and Helen Boller; Brothers – Donald Glen, Larry, and Wilbur “Gene” Hendricks. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the New Winchester Christian Church with Pastor Ben Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in New Winchester Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville on Friday from 4 until 8 PM.
