Thelma Kay Hunter of Coatesville passed away Tuesday, May 4. She was born to Ernest W Yelton and Katherine Simmons Yelton on March 4, 1940. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Hunter Sr; children Kenny Jr (Teresa) Hunter and Timothy (Sherie) Hunter; grandchildren Mitchell Hunter, Jill Hunter, Kendall Hunter, Brittany Todd, Kevin Loper; great grandchildren William and Theodore Todd; Gretchen (Gary) Bassinger who was like a daughter; godchildren Garrett and Gaddis Bassinger; sister Mary Lou (Henri deceased) McLaughlin; and brother Hon. Ernest (Mary Elizabeth) Yelton. She was preceded by her parents; son Dennis Hunter; and sister Glenda Cox. Thelma was a retired owner of Hunter Pool Shop. She was a member of the Easter Star, past president of the Indiana Chapter of NSPI, a member of the Friends & Neighbors Homemakers Club. She was on the Hendricks County Fair Board from 1974 to 1999, and was a member of the Coatesville Christian Church.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8pm and Saturday from 1-2pm at the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville with services at 2pm on Saturday. Minister Rick Adkins will officiate. Burial will take place at the Coatesville Cemetery following services. www.BousleyFuneralHome.com
