He was born on October 29, 1917 in Cranston, KY the son of Robert and Hannah Quisenberry Steagall. He had worked as a plant worker for Dow Chemical, formerly Pittman-Moore, for 41 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Coatesville Town Board for 40 years serving as President for many of those years. He was on the Amo-Conservancy Sewer Board for 12 years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, the Masons, and a Army veteran of WW II. He is survived by Niece and Nephews – Dallas Warner, Tina Brannon, Tom Warner, Jim Warner, and William Warner; Step-children - Keith Chicola, Kay Kelso, Kathy Jackson, Karla Gibson, and Kristy Childers; several step grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his Parents, and Wives – Reatha Bowen Steagall and Pearl Blackburn Chicola-Steagall.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church, Coatesville with calling at the church on Friday from 4 until 8 PM. Burial will be held in the Coatesville Cemetery with Military Honors. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Grace Baptist Church.
