William T. “Bill” Gray, age 78, Amo, passed away Friday at his residence. He was born in Cornettsville, In on April 17, 1941 the son of Henry and Hattie Hinkle Gray. He was a graduate of Washington High School and had served in the US Navy. Bill had worked as a heat treat furnace operator at Allison’s Plant 3 for General Motors. He was a member of the UAW. He had been a long-time member of the Amo Volunteer Fire Department and a very active member of the Amo Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He is survived by his wife – Sylvia Sams Gray; daughter – Kim Brown and husband, Jim, Houston, MO.; son – Teddy Gray and wife – Kim, Sylvania, OH; granddaughter – Amber Singleton; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters – Mary Snead and Laura Julian; and a brother – Bob Gray. In accordance with Bill’s wishes cremation was chosen. The memorial service will be on Thursday,, October 24th. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM and the service will be at 5 PM. Flower delivery can be made at the Church (4829 N. Pearl St., Amo, IN 46103) from 1-5 on Wednesday, October 23rd or from 9 am to 3 PM on Thursday.
