Willie Ben Davidson, age 69, of Salem, Indiana, passed away October 5, 2016 in his residence. Born November 4, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Willie Odell Davidson and Claudia Elsie (Payton) Davidson. Survivors includes 3 children, Crystal Whaley (Gene), TN, Julia Talmadge, Indianapolis, and Benjamin Davidson (Rachel), Indianapolis; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; siblings, Linda Stoddard (Steven), Coatesville, Jesse Davidson (Bernadette), Brownsburg, and Gary Davidson (Kelly), North Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him. Willie served in the Air Force from 1965-1971. He was Plant Manager for Carrier and the District Manager for Tuchman Cleaners. He was a member of the Smithsonian Foundation, National Geographic Society, Veterans of Foreign Affairs, The North American Elk Foundation, Buckmasters Organization, The Association of Gun Rights, The Natl. Bow Hunters Society, The Arbor Foundation, St Judes Childrens Research Hospital, Indiana State Police Alliance and the Harry E Wood HS Alumni Assoc. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed wildlife, the outdoors and was a wonderful father, brother, friend and neighbor. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 2 pm in the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville, IN. Services are at 2 PM with Tom Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Coatesville Cemetery with full military rites. IN lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
